Money is just gasoline

If our main goal is just to make money, we're not aiming high enough. Money is like fuel for a car—it helps us reach our destination. I first heard this from Simon Sinek. If the destination isn't meaningful enough to make us see that money is just fuel, then we need to aim for something better. People who only focus on making money as their end goal often miss the point. Even if they get it, they end up like the characters in the Mad Max movie who hoarded oil (gas city)—sure, they had a valuable resource, but they were dirty, obsessed with oil, and miserable. It's a sad way to live.
The destination or the impact of what we will do with money should be the motivator to obtaining it. We think BIG when we are out of a state of financial survival, we still gotta pay the bills first.
